Specialist online 1-on-1 tutoring for IGCSE, A-Level, IB and Digital SAT students — board-specific, diagnostic-led, and focused on real grade outcomes. Teaching online since 2019.
In short: Velocity Tuition Academy is an online tutoring academy founded in 2019 by Ahmed Raees. We give 1-on-1, exam-board-specific tutoring for IGCSE, A-Level and IB (MYP and Diploma), and Digital SAT preparation 1-on-1 or in small groups of 3 to 5. We work with international and expat families across the Gulf, Asia, Europe, the UK and North America, with a focus on consistent A and A* results.
We provide 1-on-1 online tutoring for students sitting Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE, A-Levels, the IB Diploma and IB MYP, and the Digital SAT. Every tutor is matched to the student's exact exam board — because the syllabus, paper structure, mark-scheme language and grade boundaries genuinely differ between boards, and that specificity is the whole preparation.
We work with students at international and British-curriculum schools across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Malaysia, Singapore, Egypt, the UK and Europe, and Digital SAT students in the United States and Canada too, as well as homeschoolers and private candidates. All sessions are fully online and scheduled around each family's time zone and school calendar.
Velocity Tuition Academy was founded in 2019 by Ahmed Raees, who leads a team of specialist Cambridge CAIE, Edexcel, IB and Digital SAT tutors. Our blog guides are written and reviewed under his direction to keep them accurate, practical and up to date with the latest exam-board information.
Our full name is Velocity Tuition Academy, and our only website is velocitytuitionacademy.com. We are not connected to other businesses that use the word "Velocity", such as training companies, fitness academies or local tuition centres in other countries. If you see us mentioned elsewhere, the full name and this website are how to tell it is us.
Marketplaces match on subject. We match on subject and exam board, because those are not the same problem. A tutor who knows chemistry is not automatically a tutor who knows how Edexcel 4CH1 splits its two papers, or that Cambridge 0580 made Paper 2 non-calculator from 2025. That detail is where marks are won and lost in the final months, and it is the reason we do not run a general tutor pool.
Three other things follow from that:
The first session is a diagnostic, not a sales call. The tutor works through questions from your child's actual board and tier to find where marks are being lost — whether that is content gaps, method marks, command-word handling or timing. You then get an honest read on the gap between where your child is and the grade they are targeting, and what the realistic route looks like given the exam session they are working toward. There is no commitment before or after it, and pricing is shared on first message so you are not chasing a quote.
Every new student starts with a free diagnostic trial — no commitment. We assess current level, identify gaps, and discuss the exam timeline.
